hilo and ties

This really should go in the rant board because it makes me so mad. When you and the computer tie cards (i.e. both get a six), you lose your bet. Not fair! Why doesn't the computer lose? better still, why not push (make the bet null and void) as you do in black jack? After all, a tie has nothing to do with your guessing skills, it's just the luck of the draw.

If this post is ignored by the admins, I plan to keep reposting it, until I get a good answer. So, be forewarned; and please don't revoke my account for it?

The rules specificly say ties go to the computer. I know it sucks, but not much we can do about it unfortunately.

Perhaps look at it this way, in all card games, if the result is in question, the dealer gets the benefit of the doubt and wins the hand. By necessity the computer is always dealing the cards, therefore, we lose! hehehehe. Also though, it should be pointed out, "High Low", which I think is the game you are specifically refering too, is a game that, and lets be honest here, is extremely easy to win at even with the rules as they currently are.

For the more difficult games though, such as "Black Jack" I agree that some changes should be made to the game to make them fairer. Probably the easiest way of balancing things out would be to altinate the dealing between the player and the computer but to leave the rules as they currently are so that the dealer wins tied hands. That way you'd at least have a 50 50 chance of winning the hand in that event depending on whether you were the dealer or not.

Just my thoughts anyway. Dan.

I agree highlow is to easy and every time i loose i soon recover what i lost and get even more points so i wouldn't wory too much about the computer having the same card.

You're probably right. It just pisses me off to lose a hand based on nothing I've done wrong. Sure highlow is easy, I just wish it was fair too.

Bitch, bitch, bitch, it just gives me something to rant about when the coffee runs out.

I agree. High-low is an extremely easy game, and it's a good game to play when you want to gain a bunch of points, but it makes me so mad too, when there is a tie, and you lose your points. As pointed out, this isn't your fault. It's just the luck of the draw, but still. It does get aggravating.
